I work part time making and designing furniture, primarily in hardwoods mainly, walnut, maple, ash and oak. I like taking time over the work and using traditional skills that have changed little over the years. Working with the wood to bring out the grain to produce tactile pieces of furniture.

I enjoy combining wood with other media and have incorporated, glass, perspex and metal into some of my pieces. I like furniture that has a geometric element to it and although the pieces can be complicated to make my aim is to make them look interesting and uncomplicated with clean lines. To make inviting pieces of furniture so that if it is a chair or a stool you will want to sit in it and if there is a drawer you will want to open it.
