Leslie Sandham was born in London in 1919. After the war he went to Kingston Art School on and ex servicemans bursery and trained as a sculptor. He worked in the studios of many of the leading sculptors of the time, and also on his own commissions. He was involved in carving on many buildings in the restoration of postwar  London.

He lived to the age of 90, and this memorial exhibition is a small celebration of his life and work, showing some sculptures in wood, stone, bronze and clay and portfolios of preparatory drawings and photographs of his work on buildings. Also some sketchbooks and tools and equipment
